When I first moved to the US from Venezuela over 20 years ago, I was beyond thrilled. It had been a childhood dream to be able to live and work in the US, it was only six months after I had moved that 9/11 happened. As everyone else I was confused and scared and my life changed, but just like every other American, once the challenge was surmounted, I became stronger.

In early 2019 I was given another great opportunity: to open my very own State Farm office in the town I had decided to call home, Old Forge. I never thought of being an Agent until I was asked if I would consider being one. I saw in front of me the opportunity to serve my community, to help my neighbors protect what matters the most to them, to talk to them, go over their coverage and even if we couldn't get their business, I could at least make a new friend.
