When I first moved to the U.S. from Venezuela over 20 years ago, I was beyond thrilled. It had been a childhood dream to live and work here. Just six months after I arrived, 9/11 happened. Like everyone else, I was confused and scared — my life changed. But just like every American, I grew stronger through the challenge.

In early 2019, I was given a great opportunity: to open my own State Farm office in the town I now call home, Old Forge. I never thought about being an agent until someone asked if I’d consider it. I saw an opportunity to serve my community — to help my neighbors protect what matters most to them, to talk with them, review their coverage, and even if we didn’t earn their business, at least make a new friend.

So, on December 1st, 2019, we opened our doors to the public.
